WHEATON, IL – As the Illinois Senate finishes its organization for the 99th General Assembly, State Sen. Michael Connelly (R-Lisle) is announcing his committee assignments for the current legislative cycle. 
Senator Connelly, as a former state prosecutor, is very pleased to be appointed to the Senate Judiciary and Criminal Law committees. He was also tapped to be the minority spokesperson for the Criminal Law Committee, which deals with the state’s complex criminal code statutes.
The Senator was also chosen to serve on three committees that oversee the state’s business and regulatory climate: Commerce and Economic Development, Labor, and Licensed Activities and Pensions.
