Connelly brings zoo creatures to visit Travanse Living
On Tuesday, January 23, Sen. Connelly visited Travanse Living in Wheaton along with some creatures from the Brookfield Zoo. The visit was part of a program called The Animal Ambassador Program.
The Animal Ambassador Program works with elected officials to target and visit organizations doing valuable community work in their districts.
The spirit of the program is to visit individuals who may not otherwise be able to visit the zoo, enabling them to experience a little bit of nature up close, and learn more about conservation efforts.
The event was also a chance for constituents to ask Sen. Connelly questions about state government.
